Fanatical Fish opened officially as an art gallery on May 25, 2015. The building itself had been the home of Smart Heating and Plumbing until it was purchased by Kelly Meredith in October of 2014. The gallery is located in the front of the building. The rest of the building is studio space where Meredith creates large scale murals on aluminum panels. During the summer, the gallery hosts Saturday classes taught by local artists.
The name Fanatical Fish was originally the name of a T-shirt shop that Kelly and her husband ran out of their home back in the 1990's and arose from Kelly's love of fish as an iconic image. She resurrected the name when she opened the gallery. Though the gallery is officially open only during the summer, Meredith is in the building virtually everyday from 6:30 am to 4 pm and she puts out the open sign most days. If you are interested in making an appointment call 715-769-3722 during the evenings or 715-661-4814 during the day.
